Meet Vivek
Helping others has been a part of me since childhood, a trait that naturally transitioned into my corporate life. This inclination shaped my corporate career, where I found myself coaching colleagues and friends. While I didn’t initially recognize it as coaching, my curiosity led me to explore the art and science behind it. This journey culminated in professional training at the Center for Executive Coaching, equipping me with a structured and methodical approach.
My coaching journey has been nurtured by over two decades of leadership experience across Singapore, India, the UK, and Canada with organizations like PwC, Ernst & Young, and AC Nielsen. My expertise lies in strategic planning, streamlining processes, budgeting, and developing leadership talent. With an MBA in Financial Management, a Six Sigma Black Belt, ACC from the International Coaching Federation, and the ability to speak six languages, I bring a unique blend of strategic insight, operational excellence, and cultural adaptability to coaching.
At the heart of Swanvesha lies a simple yet profound belief: meaningful transformation begins with self-exploration and is sustained by actionable steps. For individuals, it fosters resilience, redefines limiting beliefs, and builds clarity and confidence to navigate new paths and achieve success. For organizations, it aligns goals with a deeper understanding of strengths, challenges, and opportunities, empowering them to craft sustainable strategies, nurture future leaders, and cultivate cohesive, high-performing cultures.
FAQ – Executive Coaching & Services
What is Executive Coaching at Swanvesha?
It is a strategic, one-on-one partnership designed to bridge the gap between a leader’s current reality and their future vision. I create a confidential and safe space for you to practice Swanvesha (Self-Inquiry)—exploring your thoughts, clarifying goals, dismantling mental blocks, and developing actionable strategies.
How does it differ from Mentoring, Consulting, or Therapy?
- Mentoring is a senior sharing their past map.
- Consulting is an expert providing a specific blueprint.
- Therapy is a clinician healing past wounds.
- Coaching is a catalyst for the present and future. It assumes you have the agency to lead; we provide the reflective tools and accountability to help you uncover the best way forward.
What is the "Self-Inquiry" Philosophy?
Swanvesha comes from the Sanskrit Swa (Self) + Anvesha (Inquiry). Our philosophy is that while you cannot control external market volatility, you have total influence over your actions, thoughts, and intent. By looking inward, you find the most resilient solutions for the world outside.
Who is the ideal candidate for coaching?
Anyone can benefit from coaching but timing and fit are important. Coaching is most effective
- The internal drive should be strong because you are ready to do the heavy lifting required for growth.
- The coach-client connection is essential. If my style isn’t the best fit, I can refer you to a colleague who may be a better match.
How does the coaching journey work?
The engagements are structured yet flexible, typically spanning 6–9 months (12–15 sessions of an hour or so) across three phases:
- Discovery: We define your objectives and build trust. Sometimes we use tools like Personality assessments and 360-degree feedback and values-based assessments to uncover values, patterns, strengths and areas for improvement. This helps with clarity and knowing exactly what you think you want.
- Design: Together, we co-create an action plan that will lead you to your goal.
- Implementation: We bring the plan to reality. We navigate challenges, celebrate success and you experience the joy of seeing the growth in yourself or solving the problem. We ensure that you are accountable and that the change is sustainable.
What does a typical session feel like?
A typical session is a mental spa. We have conversations that turn into dialogues. I will ask open-ended questions, listen deeply, and challenge you (with your permission) to think in new ways. You will feel a warmth and a gentle persuasion. But it is your session and you will always have the last say. I will be a catalyst in your own alchemy.
